Amish~Maid started with Amish Ice Cream Homemade Ice Cream and was founded in 1989 by Joe E. Hostetler. I was born and raised horse and buggy Amish on the farm. My recipe was originally made by my mother. In the Hostetler home there was and is only one way to cook, and that was the old fashion way. I remember very well my mother cooking on a wood fired stove and there was only one way we would have ice cream. My mother would make the ice cream mix from scratch and my father, brothers, and me would freeze the mix with an old white mountain ice cream freezer using ice and salt. Now Amish~Maid not only sells Amish~Maid commercial ice cream dry mix, but produces several private labels of ice cream dry mix and has expanded sales to include concession trailers, old time and modern ice cream makers all tested during 15 years as a profitable Ice Cream Concessionaire.
Our MissionTo expand dry mix sales through private labels. All equipment is sold to create a larger consumer base for the dry mix use. Distributors, and small businesses desiring their own brand of ice cream are needed.
